How it works

A mirror for your brain, made of sound

Cereset isn't neurofeedback, and it isn't training. There's nothing to practice and nothing to get right — your brain does the work while you rest.

Your brain is heard

You recline in a zero-gravity chair while small sensors rest lightly on your scalp, reading your brain’s rhythms in real time. Nothing goes into your brain — no stimulation, no drugs.

You hear it echoed back

Patented BrainEcho® technology translates your brain’s activity into musical tones you hear through headphones — a mirror made of sound, unique to you in that moment.

Your brain rebalances itself

Hearing its own reflection, your brain begins to relax and reorganize on its own. Most clients simply close their eyes and rest — many fall asleep in the chair.

Is this you?

Made for brains that won't switch off

You can’t sleep

Tossing and turning, waking at 3 a.m., or running on a few hours a night. Many of our clients say deeper, more restful sleep was the first change they noticed.

Stress has you stuck

When your brain gets locked in fight-or-flight, "just relax" doesn’t work. Cereset helps your brain release stuck stress so calm stops feeling out of reach.

The fog won’t lift

Trouble focusing, scattered thinking, low energy. A more balanced brain may help you feel clearer, sharper, and more present through the day.

You’re running on empty

Caregiving, work, grief, life. When you’ve been carrying too much for too long, an hour of true rest — and a brain reset — can be a turning point.

Meet Brenda Hanning

Brenda opened Indiana's first Cereset center and has helped Indianapolis-area clients relax and rest for more than a decade — first as Balanced Matter, and since 2018 as Cereset Carmel.

She found this work the way many of her clients do: through her own family. What she watched change in someone she loves — and then experienced herself after her own sessions — is why she brought Cereset to Carmel. "Cereset is a relaxing process, and most of our clients fall asleep during their sessions," she says. "It is hard to imagine someone who could not benefit."

Brenda has been featured in Carmel Monthly and Zionsville Monthly, and works with every client personally as a certified Cereset Tech Coach.

Good questions

Everything people ask before their first visit

How do we know it works? What research is behind Cereset?

Cereset’s BrainEcho® technology has been studied for over a decade in partnership with the Brain Body Research Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. In a 2025 randomized controlled clinical study of 144 healthcare workers, 72% of the group using the technology experienced meaningful stress relief, compared with 27% of the control group. The research program spans 17 peer-reviewed publications, 9 IRB-approved clinical trials, and more than 1,000 trial participants, and over 130,000 people have used Cereset worldwide. Cereset is a wellness service, not a medical treatment — it is not intended to treat, cure, or diagnose any condition.

What happens at the $99 Introduction to Cereset?

Your first visit is a real 50-minute session, not a sales presentation. You’ll relax in a zero-gravity chair while lightweight sensors listen to your brain’s rhythms. You’ll get an orientation with your Cereset Tech Coach, a baseline brain observation, your own Personal Brain Index® (PBI®), and a clear recommended plan. You leave knowing exactly how your brain is managing stress today and whether Cereset is a fit — with no obligation to continue.

How is Cereset different from neurofeedback?

They take different approaches. Neurofeedback is a training process: you actively work to change your brainwave patterns with guidance from the system. Cereset doesn’t train or direct your brain at all — BrainEcho® technology simply reflects your brain’s own activity back to it as sound, in real time, and your brain uses that mirror to relax and rebalance itself. There’s nothing to practice and nothing being pushed into your brain; most clients simply close their eyes and rest, and many fall asleep in the chair.

How much does Cereset cost?

Your first session — the Introduction to Cereset — is $99. If you choose to continue, the full initial program is typically five sessions; across Cereset centers the complete package generally runs $1,500–$2,000, and returning clients can book individual tune-up sessions. Call (317) 922-7588 for current Carmel pricing. Cereset is not covered by insurance, though some clients use HSA/FSA funds — check with your plan administrator.

What does a session feel like?

Restful. You recline in a comfortable zero-gravity chair in a quiet room, sensors rest lightly on your scalp, and you hear soft tones through headphones — an echo of your own brain activity. There is no electrical stimulation, nothing invasive, and no drugs. Sessions last about 60–90 minutes, and many clients say it’s the most relaxed they’ve felt in years.

How many sessions will I need?

The standard initial program is five sessions, usually scheduled close together over one to two weeks. Your $99 introduction includes a baseline observation and a recommended plan, so you’ll know what makes sense for you before committing to anything. Some clients return periodically for tune-up sessions to maintain their results.
